Tonight, Ronee Curry and I are looking forward to sharing the vision of "Beanies of Hope" and her ministry to the young adults living on the streets, to a knitting group being hosted by Jordana Paige. Since kicking off this initiative this fall, we have received dozens of hand knitted beanies. Many we have received in the mail from outside of Santa Cruz County and we have people mailing them to us from out of state. We feel privileged and blessed to be able to distribute them to homeless teens and others in need. It is a tangible way to let many who are overlooked in our community feel as if there are others who care and "see" their needs. Thank you to all who have already donated yarn, knitted beanies or in the process of making more. Below is a brief video from last week at the drum circle where we handed out some of the new beanies we've received.
Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

There are very few monsters who warrant the fear we have of them. Do you agree?
